Westminster Council has approved Transport for London (TfL)'s plans to redevelop its old headquarters above St James's Park Underground station into luxury residential flats, after original plans were revised to include provision for offices.
The Broadway building was set to be converted into 89 residential units, but a number of Westminster councillors called for TfL to retain some office space.
The revised TfL plan reduced the number of flats to 77, and now includes 1,300sq m of office space.
TfL’s plans also include the partial demolition and redevelopment of the 100 Petty France Wing for an extra 35 residential units, which it said will be affordable.
