Newcomers impressed by Sitematch

Many Sitematch London delegates are old hands - after each event 95% to 100% say they would attend another Sitematch. But to newcomers the unusual "speed dating" event format can take some getting used to. So how did they find it?

Robin Cooper, director of regeneration community and culture, Medway Council

Sitematch set out to be a dating site for those in the development industry, matching people to sites, and from our point of view it did just that. It was very well organised, a real buzz, a great location and we had some really positive conversations.

Matt Peachey, economic development manager, Woking Borough Council

This was Woking’s first experience of Sitematch and I have to say it was excellent. Following many productive and well targeted meetings, we came away from the day with several development and investment opportunities that could help us realise our development ambitions for the area. We will certainly take part next year.

Scott Cranfield, founder, Golf Kingdom

This was the first Sitematch event I have attended, and it was everything it promised to be. It does what it says on the tin, a simple networking event where you get to speak with key decision makers. I can’t think of a faster way of finding out if your plans match up with those of the local authorities.

Kenny Oke, development director, Strawberry Star Developments

From a developer’s perspective, the event was a fantastic opportunity to engage with local authorities from across London and the south-east. Bringing together such a large number of them in one place at the same time effectively condensed many months of hard work into just a few hours. I will definitely be attending the event next year and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to both private developers and local authorities.

Oliver Harper, managing director, Harper LUXE

The venue was superb and the speakers were excellent. Toby and his team at 3Fox International helped me organise meetings and showed me around without any fuss. All I can say is that I thought the whole event was overwhelming at first, with all the attendees, as I have never attended this type of event before. It’s like speed dating, but on a professional business level. It was a breath of fresh air to be able to talk straight and get to speak to the decision-makers, without having to jump through hoops.
