Nick Boles: Potential CIL reform
Fri 4th July 2014, 11:18 am
Planning minister Nick Boles has indicated that the community infrastructure levy (CIL) could be reformed after next year’s election.
Speaking at the annual conference for the Royal Town Planning Institute, Boles admitted that current CIL regulation is “a bit of a mess”.
Though Boles said it was too early to conclude if CIL has solved the problem of financing infrastructure, a future government will want to review how the levy is structured.
