Limited availability remains for the Sitematch London event at The Shard on 2 April, after representatives from some of the most innovative and successful developers and investors in the UK snapped up places.
They will hear about opportunities for development on surplus land, with an opportunity to meet representatives from 34 public sector bodies, including 26 London councils.
Recent delegates to sign up for Sitematch London include financial investor GLE Property, contractor Wates, retail developer Sainsbury’s Convienience, residential developer Galliard Homes, housing association Hyde Housing, housebuilder London Square and self-storage provider Shurgard.
Lucy Taylor, director of regeneration at the London Borough of Ealing, said: "Some of the people we met at Sitematch London were people we would be talking to anyway, but they used Sitematch as a cost-effective way to get some time with us to discuss how to move a particular project forward, at the same time as meeting a lot of other councils."
BNP Paribas Real Estate, Capita, GVA and Knight Frank will sponsor the event, and will be on hand to advise the participating local authorities and landowners.
Sitematch London 2013 saw a 25 per cent rise in attendees on the previous year, with 97 per cent of delegates saying they would attend Sitematch London again, and 94 per cent saying they would recommend it to colleagues.
London mayor Boris Johnson said: "Sitematch is a fantastic initiative which allows public sector landowners to meet developers to discuss all kinds of development opportunities in London, helping to build relationships and bring about deals.
"I strongly urge all those involved in property to get involved to help boost construction across the capital."
