Transport for London (TfL) is in talks with law firm Clifford Chance to sign for 20,440sq metres of office space at Canary Wharf.

The deal has been agreed provisionally, but requires sign-off from the TfL board. If approved, the organisation will move into Canary Wharf Group’s 93,000sq m Upper Bank Street development at the Canary Wharf estate, which has been vacant for 18 months.

Final sign-off has been recommended for approval in documents prepared by TfL. If approval is granted, TfL will move to its new offices in September 2015.

The transport organisation currently occupies a number of offices across London. The expansion has been marked for a residential development, according to property website CoStar news.
