More homes agreed for Woodberry Down

The London Borough of Hackney has approved the building of an extra thousand homes as part of the Woodberry Down regeneration scheme.
The number of homes to be built has increased from 4,600 to 5,561, with the proportion of social rented homes and shared ownership homes staying at 41 per cent, the same percentage before the increase.
The regeneration of Woodberry Down is led by the London Borough of Hackney in partnership with developer Berkeley Homes and Genesis Housing Association.
So far, 441 existing homes have been demolished, and 862 new units have been completed, with another 180 homes currently being built.
