Property consultant and Sitematch adviser GVA has been selected by the government to sell the Old War Office in Whitehall, London.
Earlier this year, defence secretary Philip Hammond announced that the prestigious property would be put on the market.
Potential uses include a luxury hotel or residential development – potentially worth up to £500 million.
The news comes after another Ministry of Defence site – Brompton Road station – came onto the market last month.
