Getting to know Matt Henderson from Hamptons International

Tue 8th October 2013, 9:41 am

This week, Matt Henderson, associate at Hamptons International, tells Sitematch UK about his dream destination and sporting memories.

1)  If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go and why?

For me it would be Thailand. I've never been and would love to visit it. The images and stories I have seen of the beaches and islands make it look so calm and tranquil and a great location for a proper break from everything. When I go on holiday I'm looking for real relaxation and going to somewhere that looks so idyllic would certainly fit this criterion.

2)  What is your most memorable sporting moment?

It would have to be the England v Australia rugby world cup final in 2003 when Jonny Wilkinson scored that drop goal. I was sat on the sofa at my parents house with all the family and it was a lovely sunny morning.  My mum was so nervous she couldn’t even watch the TV and, when the ball went over, my brothers and I were all jumping around and the dogs just went mad.  It was a very surreal and special moment.

3)  Which book or film has had the biggest influence on your life and why?

Forest Gump. You have to get on with life regardless of what it throws at you.
