Government praises Sitematch role in land disposals

Thu 30th May 2013, 1:39 pm

The Department for Communities and Local Government and the Homes and Communities Agency have identified Sitematch as a key tool to help NHS trusts release land to achieve Government housing targets.

In a landowner’s information pack recently published by the organisations, Sitematch is described as an efficient method for NHS trusts to reach developers outside their regular network.

NHS trusts in England have identified land with the capacity for 13,500 homes, representing over 13 per cent of the Government's 100,000 homes target.

The information pack is a part of DCLG's and HCA's effort to offer expertise to the trusts to accelerate surplus land disposals.

The two most recent Sitematch London events were attended by a number of London NHS trusts.

Sitematch organiser 3Fox International aims to further extend the involvement of the NHS in the initatiative during the next few months.
