Private and public sector delegates prepare for Sitematch 2013

Fri 22nd February 2013, 4:03 pm

On 5 March 2013, the next Sitematch will take place at City Hall in the capital.

New participants from the public sector include Transport for London, the Metropolitan Police, Fire Brigade, London Borough of Lambeth and the North West London Hospitals NHS Trust.

They are joined by 31 returning planning authorities and NHS Trusts and the Greater London Authority, to ensure the upcoming Sitematch has the largest number of participating public bodies since the first event in March 2012.

The private sector is also well represented. Developers such as Barratt and Lend Lease, occupiers such as Sainsbury’s and McDonalds and investors including Aberdeen Asset Management have booked their meetings with the public sector.

The event will be opened with speeches from deputy mayor of London Richard Blakeway and Berkeley Group chairman Tony Pidgley. The Government Property Unit and TFL’s underground infrastructure protection team will provide short presentations during the day.

The main part of the day comprises a series of 15 minute meetings between public sector landowners and planning teams, and private sector developers, investors and occupiers. For the first time, particpants will rate each meeting using electronic voting devices and best-performing delegates will be announced during the post-event drinks reception.

Only limited places for private sector delegates remain, so don’t miss out and join Sitematch to secure your meetings with senior officials from 36 public sector bodies.
