GLA’s call for sites closes in two weeks
Wed 16th January 2013, 12:09 pm
A London-wide search for potential housing sites will end in two weeks.
In November 2012, the Greater London Authority and London boroughs issued a call for sites, where the public and developers were called upon to bring forward potential housing sites.
Suitable sites will be included in a London-wide strategic housing land availability assessment.
The purpose of this assessment is to update housing targets for individual boroughs, and provide evidence to meet those targets through Local Development Frameworks.
Only sites over 0.25ha will be considered for the assessment, but the GLA is happy to discuss any sites.
Jennifer Peters, senior strategic planner at the GLA, said: "Interest in the call for housing sites has been good so far, but we are keen to receive as many sites as possible, if you are in any doubt about whether you should submit a site, please get in contact and don't forget the deadline for sites is 28 January"
