Wed 5th December 2012, 9:58 am

University College London has recruited Adam Harman – partner at Driver Jonas Deloitte – as project director to manage the development of a 280,000 sq metre Stratford Campus at the Carpenters Estate in Eastern London.

The university has also begun the search for a masterplan architect, engineer, cost consultant and traffic & transport consultant, according to Costar.

The development is set to include teaching and research facilities, but also residential areas.

As much as 21 per cent of the project will focus on non-UCL uses, mainly housing.

An OJEU notice has been published, and UCL will be making use of a pre-qualification questionnaire.

The questionnaire will be used to shortlist 5 companies for each category, who are then invited to tender for the contract.
